Australian civil society combating modern slavery with ethical consumerism. To combat the grave problem of modern slavery in supply chains, governments rely on consumers and investors to hold corporations accountable. However, despite the exorbitant sums exchanged as brideprice in many societies, the socio-economic mechanisms connecting brideprice and conflict are not well understood.
