J.G. Crawford: Shaping Australia's Place in the World. Through a study of Sir John Grenfell (J.G.) Crawford, this project will examine transformations in Australian policy during the middle decades of the twentieth century. Crawford was a leading member of a generation of public servants who recast the practices of government, in this case through a particular focus on Australia's role in our region and among developing countries.
The trailblazing women and the law project. The trailblazing women and the law project will create, showcase and analyse the first publicly accessible, national, oral history of seven decades of Australia’s pioneer women lawyers contributing to the fields of gender, oral history, biography, law, citizenship, social networks, cultural informatics, ePublication and women’s history archiving.
Gough Whitlam: People, Party, Politics. This project will be the first contemporary, definitive, biographical study of Gough Whitlam. The biography is part of a broader multimedia platform proposed by the project, enabling access to a range of archival materials on Whitlam, family and colleagues, drawing on its unprecedented access to manuscripts, archival material and the subject himself, together with the creation of an extensive Oral History collection. Gough Whitlam: A Living Democracy. This project will contribute to knowledge of a significant public figure, the former Labor Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam, his government and his life after politics. This second volume of the Whitlam biography will complete the definitive, contemporary, biographical study of him. It will create an original store of knowledge through its extensive interviews with key individuals including Gough Whitlam that will augment the Oral History collection held by the Na ....Gough Whitlam: A Living Democracy.
