The Australian Mosque Today: Architectural Collaborations. This project aims to investigate collaborations between architects and Muslim communities in Australia. The project will analyze ten mosques, from design consultation through to construction, completed since 2000. This focus on the professional design process will provide innovative insights into creative collaboration and cross-cultural engagement. The findings will be presented in scholarly publications and a major public exhibition to promote new knowledge about the place of Islam in Australia and to build faith (literally and metaphorically) in multicultural Australia.

Resolving the mechanics of wind turbine noise production. This project will investigate how wind turbines produce noise. It will do this by developing the most sophisticated wind turbine noise experiment in the world, which will allow the construction of better designed wind farms, better public policy and new noise control technologies.
Just spaces: security without prejudice in the wireless courtroom. How do jurors respond to seeing defendants in a glass cage, in a traditional wooden dock or at the Bar table? The project will examine how courtroom design shapes attitudes; and, bringing together court executives, architects and researchers, will show how flexible wireless courtrooms can meet both security and human rights standards.
Designing Learning Spaces for Diversity, Inclusion and Participation. This project aims to provide evidence-based guidance on how to design and/or modify mainstream schools to make it easier for students with disabilities to participate. It seeks to inform architects, educators, and policy makers about disabled students' spatial requirements and to develop strategies and tools to support the process of co-designing schools with people with lived experience of disability. Noise from air transportation and wind turbines is a rapidly growing component of environmental noise pollution that must be reduced to improve public health and well-being. A submarine must also have a low acoustic signature to ensure its stealthiness. The common source of noise generation among these technologies is the airfoil, yet we do not understand how they create noise in real, complex environments.
