Rescuing Pharaoh’s Gold Mines: Archaeological conservation in Eastern Sudan. Building on pioneering pilot surveys, this project will document the unexplored archaeology of the remote Atbai Desert of Eastern Sudan, a region whose unique heritage is being destroyed by unregulated mining.
