Improved Information Technology (IT) alignment is essential for the delivery of government services within a complex public-private, inter-organisational environment. This project will investigate the extent to which well-aligned IT support systems contribute positively to the efficient and effective delivery of contracted employment services.
Testing the Big Bets Theory of strategic IT decision making. This project will test a new theory of strategic IT decision making called the Big-Bets theory. If confirmed, senior decision makers will have grounds for requesting more evidence-based decision making for major IT projects such as the Australian Government's IT outsourcing initiative, Telstra's Siebel-based CRM, and Victoria's Myki.

Summary
Over the past four decades problems such as depression, anxiety, self-harm and substance abuse have increased in young people. Recent research indicates that puberty is a time when these problems commonly first emerge. This five-year study of 4000 students will examine a question of whether social transitions that are too soon (e.g. early initiation of sex) or problematic (e.g. bullying from peers) may explain the increase in these health problems as children pass through puberty.
Modelling the adoption and use of virtual services technologies for rural and regional healthcare: Economic and quality of care perspectives. Rural and regional Australians account for more than a third of the population. Compared with their urban counterparts, they face higher mortality rates and experience higher hospitalisation rates. They face significant challenges in accessing healthcare services and expertise.
