Unlocking Regional Memory: An Electronic Archive Network. This project will enhance access to extensive records in four NSW regional archives. These designated regional repositories include holdings that can greatly enlarge our knowledge of Australian history and society. We aim to develop a detailed, uniform and cross-referenced Web-based electronic inventory of their collections using proven software. Digitising Global Memory. Having successfully completed our LIEF-funded pilot program to upgrade description standards, digitise selected records and improve distance access to NSW regional archives. We now seek funding to capitalise on our innovations by: extending description standards of NSW regional archives to enhance their searchability; enhancing their international recognition at name and entity level through connectivity with160,000 entities in the British Historic Manuscripts Commissio ....Digitising Global Memory. Changes over the past five decades at a Chinese state-owned industrial enterprise and its adjoining residential compound will be explored largely through in-depth oral histories by a collaborative team of Australian and Chinese researchers; and the implications for China's ongoing economic and urban social transformation will be addressed. Life after care: the life-histories of those who left institutional and other forms of out-of-home care, 1945-1989. This project, developed in close collaboration with the Industry Partner, MacKillop Family Services, will examine the impact of having been in out-of-home care for the subsequent identities and life histories of successive generations of care leavers. While focused on Catholic institutions in Victoria, it will provide more general insights into the role of church-based children's h ....Life after care: the life-histories of those who left institutional and other forms of out-of-home care, 1945-1989. In 2004, Australia's reputation as an international leader in Italian Renaissance history contributed directly to an agreement with Italy's Cassamarca Foundation bringing $22.5 million AUD to Australian universities. The word and colour orange today symbolise Protestantism and the Dutch worldwide as a result of this pivotal family's self-presentation in the early modern period.
