Audit Security Models for Multiparty Internet Transactions. The aim of this project is to conduct the study for a secure, low overhead means of auditing secure transactions between two parties over the Internet, especially where some doubt surrounds the trustfulness of the other party.

Taking sides: Assessing the partiality of international peacekeeping. This project aims to examine an enduring question for peacekeeping: should United Nations peacekeepers take sides between conflict parties, or should they remain impartial brokers that assist combatants to find their own peace settlement? Detailed comparison of six decades of peacekeeping will advance both the theory and practice of peacekeeping by understanding and explaining a striking gap between the long-standing principle ....Taking sides: Assessing the partiality of international peacekeeping. This project aims to examine an enduring question for peacekeeping: should United Nations peacekeepers take sides between conflict parties, or should they remain impartial brokers that assist combatants to find their own peace settlement? Through a mix of quantitative and case study research, this project aims to explain why such actions have become rational strategies for regimes to respond to ethnic groups which may be a threat to them and how these regimes try to justify their behaviour in ....Improving the International Response to Regime-Induced Displacement. Through a mix of quantitative and case study research, this project aims to explain why such actions have become rational strategies for regimes to respond to ethnic groups which may be a threat to them and how these regimes try to justify their behaviour in order to thwart or delay international action. This is a critical issue as beyond its human cost, regime-induced displacement can lead to state fragility and regional instability as cases from Darfur to Syria demonstrate. The project aims to address these difficulties by automating aspects of system design, to relieve the designer of the need to reason about complex patterns of information flow.

The protection of whistleblowers and other internal witnesses to corruption, misconduct and maladministration is a great unsolved problem in public sector governance. Involving 11 integrity institutions, this first national study of internal witness management will describe and compare organisational experience under varying public interest disclosure regimes across the Australian public sector. By identifying and promoting current best practice in workplace responses to public interest whistleblowing, the project will use the experience and perceptions of internal witnesses and first- and second-level managers to identify more routine strategies for preventing, reducing and addressing reprisals and other whistleblowing-related conflicts.Read moreRead less
