Summary
Australian Panel Data Users Network. Recent years have seen increased concern about how economic, social and technological changes interact with experiences occurring within families, workplaces and communities. Understanding these forces, however, requires panel data that track agents over time. Australia has only recently begun investing heavily in such data, raising concerns about our capacity to capitalize on this investment.

· promoting cross-disciplinary research using panel databases;
· facilitating opportunities for contact between panel data researchers; and
· promoting the use of appropriate methods for analysing panel data.

Summary
Little is known about the inter-relationship of cultural factors and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes and these relationships have not been quantified. Through a large cohort study, this research will produce data that combines standard health measures with newly developed quantitative measures of cultural factors, supported by data linkage infrastructure. Robust analytical methods will be used to inform policy and program development.
Privacy-preserving cloud data mining-as-a-service. This project aims to explore practical privacy-preserving solutions for cloud data mining-as-a-service based on the Intel Software Guard Extensions (SGX) technology. The research addresses privacy concerns of users when outsourcing data mining needs to the cloud. These concerns have increased as more businesses evaluate data mining-as-an outsourced service due to lack of expertise or computation resources. Using data mining methods to remove uncertainties in sensor data streams. This project will develop key techniques for removing uncertainties in sensor data streams and thus improve the monitoring quality of sensor networks. The expected outcomes will benefit Australia by enabling improved, lower-cost monitoring of natural resources and management of stock raising.

The project will deploy and assess the impact of a new digital application designed to enable access to a diverse range of Indigenous voices, stories and agendas. Mobile Indonesians: social differentiation and digital literacies in the twenty first century. This is the first dedicated study of the social implications of mobile telephony's recent and rapid popularisation throughout the country. This project will study metropolitan, urban and rural users to understand how mobile phones create the new and unexpected social networks which will shape tomorrow's Indonesians.
On effectively modelling and efficiently discovering communities from large networks. Finding and maintaining close communities from very large scale, dynamically changing networks is interesting and challenging. This project aims to develop new techniques to identify such communities as fast as possible through exploiting the rich semantics and individual relationships within the communities.
