Information Embodiment Framework for Education using Immersive Technologies. The project aims to develop a framework to apply mixed reality technologies in education, by fusing the information with human physical, physiological, cognitive and emotional perceptions. The current approach translates existing contents into 3D which does not scale and causes cognitive overload. Automating real-time feedback in virtual reality training through data mining. This project will use data mining techniques to develop a real-time feedback system that can be used in virtual reality training environments. This system will not only improve trainees' learning, it will also lead to more efficient use of virtual reality training in industries such as aviation, aerospace, mining, health and emergency services.
Making eMaking Accessible for People with Intellectual Disabilities. This interdisciplinary research will create an evidence based eMaking program that empowers people with Intellectual Disabilities. eMaking benefits include collaborative problem solving and employment pathways; however, people with disabilities are often excluded. Through a unique, inclusive, outreach van, strategies to build accessible eMaking will be generated. This project will perform the first integration of knowledge management principles with group reasoning process models to create an online environment for enhancing the quality of group decisions and their documentation. The framework developed will allow practitioners to identify an appropriate strategy to promote the adoption of EC-enabled SCM in developing countries. By including Indonesia and China as two of Australia's large trading partners in this study, the relationships can be further enhanced, leading to an increase in Australia's export market and improvement in national productivity and growth.
