The aims are to derive a understanding of how the influences of relative sea-level changes, neotectonics, and sediment supply, can produce remarkably different responses in barrier development. Striking the proper balance between what we retain in memory and what is best checked in books, databases or archives is a preoccupation in public discussion. The project gives this issue an historical perspective, showing how priorities have changed from an emphasis on memory and personal notebooks to an acceptance of retrieval from external sour ....Memory, notebooks and archives: making early modern science. This project aims to create the first history of survivor-activism that challenged and exposed failings in Australian child welfare systems. It intends to reveal how Care Leavers (people institutionalised as children—500,000+ Australians in the 20th century alone) advocated for government inquiries and reforms, and how stigma ascribed to them impacted their disparate experiences of citizenship.
