Sexualised Deepfakes: Predictors, Consequences, Responses and Prevention. Artificial Intelligence is changing how perpetrators sexually abuse. Yet little research has explored this, and laws and digital platforms are failing to keep pace. This project aims to identify the predictors, harms and consequences of sexualised deepfakes (a form of Artificial Intelligence-Facilitated Abuse) and produce evidence to inform legal, technological and social responses to this growing problem. This project aims to identify the predictors, harms and consequences of sexualised deepfakes (a form of Artificial Intelligence-Facilitated Abuse) and produce evidence to inform legal, technological and social responses to this growing problem. Expected outcomes include increased understanding of the drivers of abuse, the development of improved prevention resources and social, technological and legal responses for digital platforms, organisations and government. Expected benefits include improved laws, policies and practices to prevent Artificial Intelligence-Facilitated Abuse.Read moreRead less

This project aims to investigate how practitioners and LGBTIQ+ patients engaged in long term psychological support experience telehealth and navigate continuity of care in their experience of this support. This project expects to generate new knowledge to support the provision of best practice in telehealth support for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. Expected outcomes will be enhanced understanding of how practitioners and patients navigate continuity of care and psychological support via telehealth and practice-ready resources for medical providers. This should provide significant benefits such as expanded accessibility, improved service delivery, usability and effectiveness in mental healthcare in Australia.Read moreRead less

This project aims to capitalise on the emerging wealth of ancient DNA data to build bridges between social and scientific archaeologies. It expects to create new knowledge by integrating genetic data with social models of kinship, applying an innovative, cross-disciplinary methodology to the uniquely rich and well-documented archaeological record of prehistoric Europe. Expected outcomes include a new framework for understanding past kinship and the formation of a new interdisciplinary and international research network. Significant benefits include increased value of legacy collections, capacity building in archaeology, and positioning Australia at the forefront of major developments in ancient DNA and archaeological science.Read moreRead less
