An international environmental history of the 'world ocean', 1950s-2000s. This project aims to investigate the ways in which states, international organisations, and international communities have engaged with the ‘world ocean’ as a natural environment from the 1950s to the 2000s. In the context of current environmental and geopolitical challenges for the ocean, this project will analyse how these actors built institutions, communities, and territories in and for the ocean environment as a found ....An international environmental history of the 'world ocean', 1950s-2000s. A History of Intimate Relationships in Scotland: Emotion and Family among the Lower Orders, 1661-1830. This project will provide a comprehensive and novel analysis of intimate relationships amongst the Scottish lower orders between 1661 and 1830, filling a gap in the European/Anglophone research on the emotional lives of the poor. It will use an innovative methodology to access emotions amongst a group who did not leave traditional 'feeling' sources, such as letters and diaries, to create a pict ....A History of Intimate Relationships in Scotland: Emotion and Family among the Lower Orders, 1661-1830. The Australasian legal history libraries stage II: Australia's leading legal historians will partner with the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII) to create a massive expansion of free online access to Australasian legal history through digitisation and data aggregation. The Legal History Libraries on AustLII will become a comprehensive trans-Tasman collection from 1788-1999, including all reported case series and those from colonial newspaper reports, and all Acts enacted, plus key collections of historical Bills, Gazettes, legal commentaries, and Parliamentary reports. The Libraries are expected to double in size from their current 50,000 items of cases and legislation. The enhanced Design and Art Australia Online facility will provide crucial information pertaining to Australia’s art and design heritage that will be open for researchers of all levels, from school students through to higher-education researchers.
ARC Research Network for Early European Research. The Network offers a dynamic resource for enhancing Australian research into the culture and history of Europe between the fifth and nineteenth centuries. Through a programme of dedicated conferences and symposia, new digital resources, publications, and specialist postgraduate mentoring, Network management will mobilise existing strengths to build up national and international research partnerships in key emerging areas of scholarly enquiry. An international team intends to reorient the history of geosciences towards the southern hemisphere by investigating geologists working in Australasia, South Asia, South America, Southern Africa and Antarctica since 1788.
