Moreover, the transnational nature of trafficking crimes means that international cooperation in law enforcement is increasingly common. Understanding how Chinese agencies deal with serious drug crime is important for agencies such as the Australian Federal Police. This study evaluates the effectiveness of a long term legal assistance programme designed to strengthen the rule of law in a fragile state such as Cambodia.
