Baroque Europe witnessed the extensive dissemination of two main musical styles: the French and the Italian. This innovative project, which focuses on the unique notebook of widely-travelled musician J. S. Cousser, will re-write current notions of how musicians' networks operated, contributing to a fuller picture of the development of European music.

This project seeks to examine the responses made by three of the most important conservative thinkers of the modern age to the crisis in liberal values and democratic principles that took place between 1900 and 1945 in Europe and elsewhere. The theorists in question are Max Weber, Oswalt Spengler and Carl Schmitt. The history of sexuality is an area of research which puts into historical perspective the disorders and abnormalcies which make up so much modern talk about sexuality. It helps to show that many of the supposed sexual problems which are central to modern thinking took shape only recently, and did so in particular circumstances.
