This project aims to uncover how older Australians talk about and understand depression and anxiety, and it seeks to raise awareness of these debilitating conditions via new media. There has been much medical research in this area, and while language has been identified as highly relevant for recovery, little is known of how people express their experiences around mental well-being. Around 25 per cent of all Australians aged 12 to 24 are from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. This project will add to our understanding of the content and purpose of philosophy within 'higher education' in the eastern Roman Empire in the period 300-500 CE. AustLit - humanities research infrastructure development through knowledge-based dataset building, augmentation of key research elements and ICT developments. The AustLit development and augmentation program 2006-2008 will enable researchers to gain a greater understanding of the breadth and scope of Australia's conversation with the world through its literature by providing new datasets and enhanced access to the pre-eminent resource to our literary culture. AustLit aims to deliver authoritativ ....AustLit - humanities research infrastructure development through knowledge-based dataset building, augmentation of key research elements and ICT developments. The AustLit development and augmentation program 2006-2008 will enable researchers to gain a greater understanding of the breadth and scope of Australia's conversation with the world through its literature by providing new datasets and enhanced access to the pre-eminent resource to our literary culture. AustLit aims to deliver authoritative information and analysable data about all Australian writers and their writing and in 2006 will develop specialist datasets relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers; multicultural writers; and regional and colonial writing from Tasmania and Qld. Miniaturisation-compatible stationary phases and detection techniques will be developed for microseparation techniques of capillary electrochromatography and chip-based separation systems, and their analytical applications will be investigated. Replaceable stationary phases (RSP) of chromatographic particles suspended in reversible gels will be created by delivering a liquid RSP to the column followed by in situ ....Enhancing Selectivity and Detection in Miniaturised Analytical Separation Systems. Sub-surface hydrothermal gold and base metal orebodies are surrounded by aprons of elevated metal concentrations, mainly within micro-sulfides, which is one sign mineral explorers use to widen their target. Here we test whether the hostrock contributes metal in the most distant parts of such halos, and if so, what factors control where hostrock metal begins to be detectable in a given system.
