Oceans Law and Policy Library. This project will establish a library facility providing a comprehensive collection of international and domestic primary and secondary source materials in ocean law and policy. Materials will be both hard copy and electronic, facilitating access of materials from remote locations by partner institutions. The library will be located at the University of Wollongong, an international leader in oceans law and policy research, through the Centre for Maritime Policy. ....Oceans Law and Policy Library. This project will establish a library facility providing a comprehensive collection of international and domestic primary and secondary source materials in ocean law and policy. Materials will be both hard copy and electronic, facilitating access of materials from remote locations by partner institutions. The library will be located at the University of Wollongong, an international leader in oceans law and policy research, through the Centre for Maritime Policy. The partner universities are home to the principal centres of marine scientific research in Australia. It is widely used in most Australian jurisdictions. This project aims to explore how passive and active engagement with nature might influence outcomes for young people who have experienced trauma, maltreatment and disrupted families. These people are extremely vulnerable, but often slip through the system. As they rarely engage in traditional therapy, non-traditional interventions may offer a viable alternative that should be explored and harnessed for this population. These people are extremely vulnerable, but often slip through the system. In addition, traditional interventions are delivered at enormous cost and with minimal success for this group. Using an innovative multidisciplinary design, the project plans to test four hypotheses about nature engagement to contribute to the growing field of nature-based interventions.
