Summary
Normal fetal development requires the placenta to successfully invade the mother's uterus so that the baby can be appropriately nourished. It is well known that a failure of normal placental development is associated with two major complications of pregnancy: pre-eclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction. This study is designed to discover whether placental cells have special oxygen sensing mechanisms that help them home in to areas where there is high oxygen.

Summary
Interstitial lung diseases (ILD) are chronic lung diseases with significant health impacts, but limited drug treatment options. Although home oxygen treatment (HOT) is commonly used in these patients, its clinical benefits are uncertain with potential risks and significant costs for both patients and the health care system. Very little published information is available on the use of HOT in these patients. These studies aim to improve our knowledge and management of HOT in patients with ILD.
Objectives: 1. Better understand the oceans off north-western Australia by measuring currents and sea surface temperatures with satellite tracked drifters. 2. Disseminate this information to the industry.
