This project builds on a four year Randomised Controlled Trial of the Journey to Social Inclusion pilot-program which was designed to end long-term homelessness. The project aims to track participants for an additional two years. Summary
This research will investigate and develop methods to assess how Australian governments’ policy actions across a range of areas interact to affect health and its distribution among different social groups. It will provide evidence on how political and policy processes could function more effectively to improve health and its distribution in Australia. It will have a particular focus on ways to improve health for Indigenous Australians.
Work/Life Balance, Well-Being and Health: Theory, Practice and Policy. This project links to the national research priority of promoting and maintaining good health in two ways. It establishes a new annual national measure of work/life balance, a critical element of good health and well-being, assisting understanding about work/life conflict and informing workplace and government policy responses to it, strengthening Australia's social and economic fabric.
