The National First Nations Research Network will mark a transformation in First Peoples livelihoods and Health Equity. Delivered and led by Indigenous Peoples for Indigenous Peoples, guided by self-determination, this Network will nurture culturally safe environments, connect expertise, catalyse research methods, training and development. The Network will create career pathways to achieve national capability and generational growth, for sustained health and wellbeing of our communities.

How parents manage climate anxiety: coping and hoping for the whole family. This project studies how Australian parents manage climate anxiety for themselves and their families. Using mixed-methods/mixed-media approaches, it examines whether an increase in climate disasters is accelerating the spread of collective anxiety amongst families, how parents manage this anxiety for their children and partners, and if there are associated mental health burdens and gendered inequities in this management. ....How parents manage climate anxiety: coping and hoping for the whole family. Young people are at greatest risk of alcohol-related damage and university students are among the heaviest drinkers, with up to 70% engaging in binge drinking.
