Shipwrecks of the Roaring Forties: a maritime archaeological reassessment of some of Australia's earliest shipwrecks. This project will evaluate new ways of investigating the history of Europeans in the Indian Ocean by using the latest technology to evaluate seven Western Australian shipwrecks excavated over 40 years ago. The project will work with emerging technologies to study these significant sites and collections.

Australia has a rich legacy of archives, art and artefacts, including 4 shipwrecks in WA, from its history of encounters with the Dutch East India Company (VOC). Through comparative research in Australian and overseas museums and archives we aim to situate Australian collections in a global context, creating new stories about Australia as part of the VOC global network. This should provide significant social and cultural benefits such as more inclusive forms of heritage, and broader ....Everyday Heritage. Anzac Day at home and abroad: a centenary history of Australia's national day. Australia is fast approaching the centenary of Anzac Day and many believe this is the one day of the year that captures the spirit of the nation. This project will examine Anzac Day's complex and much contested history, retrieving private and collective memories of war through archival research and novel and participatory public history.
Murujuga: Dynamics of the Dreaming. Despite the acknowledged National Heritage significance of the Dampier Archipelago's petroglyphs and stone features, there has been little research which assists in knowing when, why and how this art was produced. This landscape was occupied and art was produced both before and after sea level rise c.8-6,000 years ago.
