Summary
Australian e-Research Grid. The e-Research Grid program will research and implement core Grid technologies on APAC and partner's deployed HPC resources, to underpin a broad range of Australian research. The computer science CIs will form collaborative links with international programs, adapting developments to local circumstances. The applications-domain CIs will leverage those into their scientific simulations and databases, using grid integrative techniques and portals. Many CIs participate in ....Australian e-Research Grid. The e-Research Grid program will research and implement core Grid technologies on APAC and partner's deployed HPC resources, to underpin a broad range of Australian research. The computer science CIs will form collaborative links with international programs, adapting developments to local circumstances. The applications-domain CIs will leverage those into their scientific simulations and databases, using grid integrative techniques and portals. Many CIs participate in other RNs linking to their motivating applications, enhancing prospects for research and integration. Supporting teachers and teaching in flexible and non-traditional schools . This project aims to address a critical gap in knowledge about the experiences and conditions of people who teach in flexible and non-traditional schools in Australia. These schools provide a second chance at education for young people with challenging behaviours and/or learning problems. Expected outcomes include detailed understanding of support needs for this workforce. This will significantly benefit teachers, sponsors and principals through recommendations on best practice management of this important work, along with evidence-based training artefacts for staff recruitment and retention.

Modern campuses created opportunities for the realisation of innovative solutions in urban planning, architecture and landscape. The project plans to reveal the physical impacts of political, institutional, social and cultural demands through comparative thematic investigation, digital visualisation and detailed case studies. Gauging informed public opinion on sentencing sex offenders: a national study. Sex offences appear to attract the greatest community condemnation and desire to punish, particularly when involving predatory stranger rapists or when the victims are children. This national study aims to ascertain informed public opinion on sex offender sentencing by exploring the views of jurors in sex offence trials in all higher courts in Australia.
Judges' work, place and psychological health - a national view. This project aims to address the human, juridical and financial costs of judicial officers’ work-related psychological harm. This harm is implicated in early retirement, sick leave and suicide. It threatens appropriate courtroom conduct, procedural fairness and impartial adjudication.
