An innovative web-publication model will maximise the availability and searchability of the A.D.B., enabling researchers to pose new questions that will yield novel insights into Australian history. The Australian Dictionary of Biography Online Enhancement Project will augment the capabilities of the ADB Online. By incorporating a new lipidomics approach, with genomic data, this project aims to expand our understanding of human biology by identifying regulators of lipid metabolism. The large diversity in humans necessitate sufficient sample sizes to identify true genetic regulators, but to date techniques capturing phenotypic data (lipids) have been largely limited. This project introduces the concept of infrastructural biographies to revisit the history of remote community formations from the self-determination era to today. Using ethnographic approaches to understand infrastructural legacies, it aims to interrogate the governance and hardware requirements for supporting Indigenous residents to stay on country.
