Summary
There is concern about the rising levels of caesarean section in Australia and some evidence that women may benefit from caseload midwifery care. This randomised control trial will determine whether caseload midwifery care can reduce interventions and is as safe as usual hospital maternity care. A Cochrane systematic review of midwifery led care versus routine care was designed to answer these questions.This will be the first randomised controlled trial to contribute to this review

This project will develop, implement and evaluate a new model of providing palliative care to individuals in rural and remote communities that will utilise existing health and community resources to provide palliative care. As the number of patients requiring palliation in rural and remote communities is small, the service may not function at all times but come together (pop-up) as required. Evaluation of the model in three different types of rural communities will be undertaken in three states ....This project will develop, implement and evaluate a new model of providing palliative care to individuals in rural and remote communities that will utilise existing health and community resources to provide palliative care. Summary
Being born too early is a leading cause of perinatal death and morbidity. This trial seeks to determine whether screening for and treating candidiasis in pregnancy reduces the risk of this serious health problem. The trial will discover whether a simple treatment in pregnancy can reduce preterm birth. If positive, the results will be relevant to the management of every pregnancy.

The study will test the cost-effectiveness of two models of supportive care coordination for advanced cancer against usual care: a Telephone Caseworker model and an Oncologist-GP model. Both models are aimed at improving patients' and their informal caregivers' health and psychosocial status; are patient-centred, evidence based and readily transferable across health care settings.
