Summary
It is not known when, in the course of incurable cancer, palliative care advice should be sought. A randomised trial will be conducted on patients consulting with a medical or radiation oncologist. Consenting patients will be randomised to either receive palliative care advice immediately or somewhat later after diagnosis.
