Australian Creative Resources Archive. The facility will digitise wasted cultural materials to create an accessible archive that meets the needs of Australian researchers, artists, entrepreneurs, and the public, specifically in order to stimulate broadband content development. This unique facility and associated research will: (1) provide a rich resource for broadband content development; (2) provide a platform for productive research collaborations with Australian content producers; (3) develop ....Australian Creative Resources Archive. Adoption and Effective Use of Information Communication Technologies in Indigenous Communities in Australia. This project on Indigenous use of the internet aims to identify the reasons why Indigenous Australians are 69% less likely to access the Internet than their non-Indigenous counterparts as demonstrated in the last census. This research is directed towards improving the operational effectiveness of our defence and civilian first-response-groups, which include the Special Forces, law-enforcement, fire fighting and special emergency services. These groups are highly specialised and have very focused operations which require innovative responses and adaptability. The technologies developed in the course of this projec ....Data Fusion for Self-Localisation and Team Situational Awareness in Unknown Structured Environments. This research is directed towards improving the operational effectiveness of our defence and civilian first-response-groups, which include the Special Forces, law-enforcement, fire fighting and special emergency services. These groups are highly specialised and have very focused operations which require innovative responses and adaptability. The technologies developed in the course of this project will transform the way these agencies conduct their operations and will have a beneficial impact on our quality of life and social order.
The research will also advance the knowledge base in the practical implementation of human localisation systems and provide the enabling mechanism for its adoption into industry.

The Atacama and Australian mining companies: identity, intercultural communication and negotiation in northern Chile. The involvement by state administrations and global corporations in planning for social responsibility in mining and the resulting negotiations with citizens - especially groups identified as indigenous - brings a range of people into dialogue. However, these contexts are under-researched.
