Funded Activity Summary

During the pandemic, SAHMRI has been providing research support to complement and bolster SA Health’s internal resources. Most notably by providing a rapid COVID-19 Evidence Synthesis complemented with advice upon request. To formalise this partnership, SAHMRI will now establish a dedicated COVID-19 Analytics Unit to provide strategic, evidence-based advice to SA Health. The COVID-19 Analytics Unit will provide a responsive, scientifically-robust and relevant services to inform South Australia’s real time COVID-19 decision-making and strategic planning. It will consolidate existing research functions (within SAHMRI and SA Health), capitalise on existing SA Health data and collaborate with other specialist units around the country.
